Welcome to the Connection, Not Perfection Kitchen 🩷

Dinner à la Amy started many years ago when I was a young mother raising a family and discovering how Tastefully Simple helped make getting dinner on the table more manageable and delicious. I began incorporating these products into our everyday meals, and they quickly became part of how we showed up for each other at the end of the day. Sometimes the most meaningful conversations happen over simple food. I’ve learned that when you have something on hand, it becomes easier to invite people to stay, to gather, and to connect.
This space is a collection of my favorite recipes—some from Tastefully Simple, some my own creations—that have fed my family and my community along the way. You won’t find perfection here. You’ll find easy, cozy, real-life recipes meant to feed your soul, not your stress.
Grab a cozy drink, get comfortable, and enjoy your time here—this is a place to share real-life recipes, real stories, and real connection.

🌀 Cinnamon Roll After Dark 🥃
Because Cinnamon Roll Grew Up. You know Cinnamon Roll Cocoa. Cozy. Sweet. Cinnamon-y. The kind of thing that makes you want to curl up with a blanket and call it a night. But then Cinnamon Roll grew up. And apparently, she enjoys a little libation now and then. 🥃🌀 So I took my Cinnamon Roll…

The Sauce That Started It All ❤️
Sometimes, one bottle changes everything. I didn’t join Tastefully Simple because I was looking for another business. I joined because I fell in love with this sauce. Honey Teriyaki Sauce was the first Tastefully Simple product that made me stop and think, “Wait… this is REALLY good.” It was easy. It was delicious. And it…

We Started With Leftovers
Sometimes the best ideas are the ones you never planned. My creative director, Laura Campbell, was over for coffee when she spotted a few of my empty Tastefully Simple Roasted Garlic Avocado Oil and Balsamic & Basil Avocado Dipping Oil bottles. Most people might have seen empty bottles. Laura saw a centerpiece. And honestly? I…

Connection, Not Perfection: Yes, I Get My Groceries Delivered
There was a time when I would have felt a little embarrassed about a picture like this. A pile of grocery bags sitting on my front porch. Groceries delivered. Maybe you’ve felt that way too. More Than Just Beer Bread
If you’ve spent any time around Dinner à la Amy, you’ve probably heard me talk about Bountiful Beer Bread Mix. It’s our number-one seller, and for good reason. There’s something special about pulling a warm loaf of homemade bread from the oven. The smell fills the kitchen, people wander in asking what’s baking, and before…

Rhubarb Strawberry Swirl Almond Pound Cake: A Summer Favorite
Some flavor combinations are simply meant to be together, and strawberry and rhubarb are one of them. Whenever I offer samples of Rhubarb Strawberry Fruit Spread, I often hear the same thing: “Rhubarb? Isn’t that really tart?” Traditional rhubarb recipes can certainly have a sharp bite, but this spread is different. The strawberries soften the…
